This coming weekend I'm heading back to the idyllic Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston for the second of New England's two big wintertime science fiction conventions, Boskone.
Here's my schedule:
Friday, 9 p.m.: "The Monster in the Maze" -- I get to moderate a high powered panel (Darrell Schweitzer, Paul Tremblay, and Christopher Golden) as we discuss monsters in fiction and why they're so important.
Saturday, 10:00 a.m.: Group Reading -- once again the mighty CSFW assembles to inspire awe and delight with a reading of short works by half a dozen of New England's towering talents.
Saturday, 4:30 p.m.: Reading -- As part of the Massive Promotional Push for my forthcoming novel, I'm going to read some exciting bits from A Darkling Sea.
Sunday, 10:00 a.m.: "Steampunk is a Way of Life" -- I'll join another panel of distinguished guests led by Jim Frenkel as we talk about how steampunk fiction has influenced style, and vice versa.
Don't be afraid to come talk to me; that's what I'm there for.
