The sweet spot for stardom has been ~34 for much longer. Cary Grant was 34 when he made Bringing Up Baby. Clark Gable was 33 when he made It Happened One Night. Rosalind Russell was 33 for His Girl Friday. Vivien Leigh was 36 for Gone With the Wind.
